The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.
The receptionist’s job is to help the patients by answering their enquiries, taking note of repeat prescriptions and making arrangements to see the doctors. They may ask for brief details of illness to enable the doctors to best help the patients. All such details are treated with the strictest confidence. On arrival for an appointment, please check in with the receptionist.
The health visitor is specially trained to offer advice on child care and development. Together with the doctor she runs the Baby Clinic on a Thursday morning from 11:45 – 13:00.
